Council of Independent Colleges and Universities Building
1983. Elk Street, Albany, NY. Before restoration view of CICU building. Original windows were replaced with pink marble and stainless steel in the 1960's. Project entailed creating entirely new Gothic windows to restore original facade openings.

1983. "After" view of installed Gothic window on front of CICU building. Peter had to learn the architectural language of Gothic form by studying the sister building (next door) and the architectural elements of Westminster Presbyterian Church, another Gothic Revival structure on State Street, Albany, NY.

Gothic Windows Completed
View of completed Gothic windows after painting and window installation. Peter is the only professional craftsman in the Capital District who carved Gothic tracery on this scale.

Cathedral Marbleized Platform
1988. Three piece, light-weight, removable platform for ceremonial events, created to match the existing marble floor of the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, Albany NY. Marblizing done by Lillian Mulero.

Pre-Renovation View Equinox House, Manchester, VT
1982. This damage was intentionally done as an emergency measure to save the oldest portions of the Equinox House from a mid-renovation construction fire. It increased Peter's portion of the project three-fold.

Peter Using His Huge Lathe
Peter designed and built this lathe for turning capitals and bases for the huge columns on the Equinox House. The lathe can turn columns, in its spindle mode, up to 10 feet in lenth and 18 inches in diameter, and capitals and bases up to five feet in diameter in its face-plate mode.

These typical acanthus leaf carvings were exact reproductions of the original corbel, in solid wood. Modeled from deteriorated remnants of the original.
